Feb 2013 report

The members had a very enjoyable morning listening to the recitations of a wide range of poems, styles and poets all loosely based on the given theme of Heroes. Many dealt with the heroes involved in a variety of wars and its effects, but some dealt with the heroism of ordinary unsung people who had overcome great difficulties or shown outstanding commitment or devotion to others. recognisable individuals such as Florence Nightingale were topics. The next meeting is on Wednesday 27th March at 10am, please check with Myra regarding the location if you wish to join this friendly, informal group of likeminded, to just listen or recite. Next meeting's theme is Protest in its many forms. Regards Dave
